Philip Kohlmann

Mr Philip Kohlmann is an employment-law attorney at AfA, focusing exclusively on labour matters and handling both individual and collective mandates. He serves as a point of contact for employees on every aspect of employment law, from out-of-court advice through to representation before the labour courts.

Mr Kohlmann also counsels works councils, central works councils and group works councils on all issues under the Works Constitution Act, notably during reconciliation-of-interests and social-plan negotiations, in drafting works agreements, and, when necessary, by representing them in decision proceedings before the labour court. A special emphasis of his practice is advising on works-council co-determination for technical systems. In addition, he supports works councils in negotiating AI-related agreements, drawing on the in-depth expertise he gained as an IT entrepreneur.
