About Melanie Julia Maußner
Lawyer Maußner advises works councils throughout Germany and represents them outside as well as in court and in conciliation boards. She has particular expertise in supporting collective law bodies in transnational matters (establishment and support of European works councils, establishment of SE works councils).
As a lecturer she supports renowned organisers of works council training seminars. She is considered a recognized specialist in employee data protection and operational changes. She assists works councils in the preparation of works agreements as well as in reconciliation of interests and during social compensation scheme negotiations.
Melanie Julia Maußner was admitted to the bar in 2000 and spent ten years working as an in-house lawyer for one of the leading German online banks. There, she not only handled labour law cases, but was also responsible for trademark law, IT law and data protection issues. In addition to cross-border legal proceedings, corporate law cases and several mergers & acquisitions, she supported the implementation of one of the largest EU directives in the financial services sector.
